Who we are

Nexus Connect Limited (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through nexusconnect.co.uk. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 08029067, with a registered office at Unit 102 Bowen Court, St Asaph Business Park, St Asaph, Denbighshire LL17 0JE.

For any question about this notice or about how your data is handled, contact ap@nexusconnect.co.uk. If you would rather raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office, their details are at the end of this page.

What we collect

This website collects personal data in one place only: the contact form. When you use it, you provide:

  • Your name
  • Your organisation, if you choose to give it
  • Your email address
  • Whatever you write in the message field describing your enquiry

The organisation field is optional. The others are needed to reply to you. Please do not include confidential or commercially sensitive detail in a first message. A general description is enough to start a conversation.

If you email us directly, we hold the contents of that email and your email address.

Server logs

Like almost all websites, the server that delivers these pages keeps technical access logs. These typically include the IP address making the request, the time, the page requested and the browser identifier. They exist for security and to keep the site running, and we do not use them to build a profile of you or to identify individual visitors. This site is hosted and served by Cloudflare, which holds those logs under its own retention schedule. They are not combined with anything you send us.

What we do not do

We think it is as useful to say what this site does not do, because it is unusual:

  • There is no analytics package on this website. We do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent.
  • There are no advertising, marketing or social media tracking pixels.
  • There is no third-party CAPTCHA. Form spam is handled by a hidden field and a timing check, both of which run on the page itself.
  • Fonts are served from this website rather than from a third-party font service, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to another company.
  • We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
  • We do not add enquirers to a mailing list. We do not send marketing email.

Why we are allowed to hold it, and for how long

Our lawful basis for handling enquiry data is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch. The interest is straightforward, you have initiated it, and the data is used only to answer you.

If a conversation becomes an engagement, the lawful basis for the data we then hold becomes performance of a contract, and the terms of that engagement govern it.

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only for as long as they are useful for the conversation they belong to, and are deleted after that.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are read by Adam Parry and are not circulated more widely. Where an engagement requires a specialist associate, any personal data shared with them is limited to what that piece of work needs and is covered by a written agreement.

Two technical services are involved in running this website, and both act as processors on our behalf under their own terms. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site, and the code that handles a contact form submission runs there. Resend delivers that submission to us as an email. Neither is given your data for its own purposes. We do not use any analytics, advertising or profiling service, so nothing else receives it at all.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it
  • Object to our use of it under legitimate interests
  • Ask for it in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email ap@nexusconnect.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
